"Daaaaayyyyaaaaa Tripper, one way ticket yeah...." Humming yet? Dang-it, I'm a Brit, I don't even LIKE the Beatles that much (sorry....but I really don't...) but Guilt-Tripper in the title above just reminded me of that song.
So, last Saturday - and WHERE has this week gone - I was SUPER excited to get to the Finders Keepers market on in Melbourne at the Royal Exhibition Building, kind of a 'Day trip' - see above - but, I digress....AGAIN... It's always a bit of a double edged sword for me, I either come out with either a feeling of UBER inspiration that crafty peeps are just SO talented, OR I feel depressed that I am not doing more with my life.
Being a crafter/creative in Melbourne you gotta be on your game, EVERYONE seems to be a branding genius and I just oooh and aaaah over everything and then go home and watch idiot abroad munching a whole Lindt bar (and I DO love them), this time was no exception, but luckily, more on the inspiration side of things.
Here are a few snippets from my visit split over a few posts with the second tomorrow (just don't peek on my Flickr in the meantime or you will spoil the suprise), need time to feature those who most inspired me.
Here's the scene as you walk in, beautiful building:
Is Finders Keepers REALLY bi-annual?!!! that is NUTS....anyways, DIGRESSING AGAIN! Back to the task at hand, I am SUPPOSED to be focussing.... FRANKIE magazine & their 50th issue, LOVE<3:
Can you believe they have a caravan called Betsy!!!?
A few weeks ago, I went to a talk by the Julia of Dagmar Rousset (more on them another time) and I was struck by how beautiful her Peaches & Keen earrings were - I might even re-open my ear piercings and I REALLY want to buy a limited edition art piece.....
HOW pretty are those jewel colours above? They have a jellybeansweetness with a touch of wonderment quality. I think now might be a good time for a latte & a muffin, don't you? Come place your order then rest with me on the 'spool' chairs & tables, we'll browse the market some more tomorrow X
